The marriage in Libya and South Korea
There is a major different between the marriage in Libya and South Korea. Dating and engagement are different between Libyans and Koreans. Dating is still different between the Libyans and the South Koreans. In South Korea, sweethearts find each other by themselves, after that they start hanging out, eating out and even sleeping with each other once they get on well with each other. But in Libya, dating is prohibited and considered an evil that brings a shame to families. As a result of that a man chooses his spouse based on characteristics that he can find on her such as honesty, highly moral and beauty. He can choose his spouse either by himself or by someone else like a sister, friend or parents. Engagement is dissimilar between two cultures. In Korea it is a chance to introduce couples to each other’s families. While it is the most important opportunity for couples to know each other before if they decide to get married or not, in Libya. Wedding and Gift exchange. Wedding ceremonies are prominently different, to illustrate, the groom send (silk garment) to his bride to stem bad spirits, then his bride make clothes to his parents and send them back. They gather in one place and make a wedding. In Libya, each family makes their own part. I mean the bride makes part at her home and groom makes a part at his home. Another different is that the groom sends Kiswa which combines with man gifts for the bride. Expenses honeymoon. In Libya, the groom is responsible for all expenses honeymoon, but in Korea, both of family is responsible for that.

Due to the globalization, wedding ceremonies seem to become somehow alike all over the world. However, there are still some distinct traditions in the marriage process between Libya and South Korea. The differences are starting from choosing the spouse to the honeymoon including: dating and engagement, wedding and gifts exchange, and expenses honeymoon.
Dating is still different between the Libyans and the South Koreans. in South Korea, sweethearts find each other by themselves, after that they start hanging out, eating out and even sleeping with each other once they get on well with each other. To sum up, the marriage journey that single people take to become married is totally different in Libya compared to South Korea. For instance, while dating in South Korea is the way by which couples find their matches. However, it is not allowed for couples to do that because it is prohibited in our religion
