Homework A

1. The United States operates under a two-party system, just as Great Britain does.

2. The British Parliament has two separate houses, the House of Commons and the House of Lords; likewise, the United States Congress has two separate houses, the Senate and the House of Representatives.

3. The U.S. house of Representative; just like, the British House of Commons.

The U.S. Sensate; similar to, the British house of Load

4. The method of choosing cabinet members in the United States is the same as the method of choosing cabinet members in the Great Britain.

5. The members of the U.S. House of Representatives, similar to the members of the British House of Commons, are elected by district.

6. The British monarch has the right to veto any law passed by Parliament; similarly, the U.S. president has the right to veto any law passed by Congress.

7. Great Britain, just like the U.S, president appoints the cabinet.

1. Neither I nor my friends like playing soccer.

2. My family had dinner in the restaurant which is similar to one they went before.

3. My town is like Morgantown in their size.

4. There is similarity between me and my mother.

5. My previous boss and a new one are alike in their ability to find a solution to problem very quickly.
